Who is the Van Clan

Ten kids, two parents, one large house

The Van Clan is the Van Overen family of Cupertino, California.

The family was started in the mid-fifties with the marriage of Eleanor Gonsalves of Sunnyvale, CA, to Art Van Overen of Grand Rapids, MI.

Art and Ellie had 10 children, and over time their family has grown to include 26 grandchildren and an ever-increasing number of great grandchildren.

Their original home was a small one-story house on Arlington Lane, near Bollinger and Highway 9 (as De Anza Blvd was called at the time).

In the late 1960's, the family moved to a large two-story, five bedroom house that went through a series of additions and expansions over the years to accommodate the burgeoning number of children.

Today most of the Van Clan are spread around California, with some members beginning to migrate across the USA.
